A Made To Measure Counselling Service.

Counselling is a process and looking for a counsellor is a part of that process, please take as much time as you need.
My name is Emma Tait, and I am a Counsellor and Psychotherapist. I have been in private practice since 2012, and I am listed on the BACP register which is approved by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care.
Welcome
I work with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and family issues. Over 14 years of practice, I've had the privilege of supporting individuals through many of life's challenges, working both privately and within organisations. I also offer counselling for couples who are navigating difficulties in their relationship.
Whether you're facing a specific issue or simply feeling stuck or overwhelmed, therapy can provide a safe, confidential space to explore what's troubling you and find a way forward. My approach is collaborative and tailored to your unique circumstances, helping you build on your strengths whilst working through whatever has brought you to seek support.

Online Counselling
I continue to offer online and telephone therapy for those who prefer it, who may be abroad, or who live in other parts of the United Kingdom. Many clients find that working remotely offers valuable flexibility, allowing them to access support from the comfort and privacy of their own space, without the need to travel, or take additional time away from work or family commitments.
Online therapy can be particularly beneficial if you have mobility concerns, a busy schedule, or simply feel more at ease speaking from home. It also means that geographical distance needn't be a barrier to finding the right therapeutic relationship. Sessions are conducted via secure video platforms (or telephone if you prefer), maintaining the same level of confidentiality and professionalism as face to face meetings. Whether you're based in another city, working abroad temporarily, or simply value the convenience of remote sessions, I'm here to provide the same quality of care and support.
