The ‘Ad hoc’ Session

I reserve openings for drop-in or ad hoc therapy sessions, allowing you to receive support without committing to regular therapy.

If you'd like to explore what's been going on for you, I can hold space for a single session or drop-in appointment. These can provide a helpful boost when you need some extra support in the moment but can't commit to ongoing sessions. Appointments can usually be offered within the same week of enquiry although peak times (evenings) or longer sessions may need more notice.

I offer 60 mins | 90 mins | 120 mins sessions, either face to face or online.

This flexible option is ideal for those who prefer to come as needed, based on their routines and schedule. For booking, please use the contact form.

Ad hoc sessions can be used for personal or professional issues/dilemmas or challenges.

Session costs

60 mins - £80

90 mins - £120

120 mins - £160

In my practice, I understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes, you may need immediate support without committing to ongoing therapy sessions. That's why I offer single session or ad-hoc therapy appointments, designed to meet your unique needs and circumstances.

Convenience: A single session appointment aims to provide you with the flexibility to attend on your own terms. Whether you're facing a time-sensitive issue or simply prefer a more casual approach, these sessions allow you to access support when you need it most.

Commitment-Free: I recognise that not everyone is ready or able to commit to regular therapy sessions. Single session appointments offer a commitment-free alternative, allowing you to explore your concerns without the pressure of long-term obligations.

Time Efficiency: In today's fast-paced world, finding the time for therapy can be challenging. By offering ad-hoc sessions I aim to tailor sessions to fit your schedule, providing you with a focused and efficient approach to addressing your concerns.

Targeted Support: Sometimes, you may have a specific problem or concern that requires immediate attention. A single session appointment allow you to directly address and work through these issues with the guidance of a professional therapist and coach.

Unbiased Perspective: Seeking support from someone unrelated to your personal or professional life can offer a fresh and impartial perspective. I provide a safe and judgment-free space, offering an attentive ear and objective insights to help you navigate your challenges.

Whether you're seeking a listening ear, a sounding board, or a focused exploration of a particular issue, a single session appointment is designed to meet your unique needs.

This approach highlights the key benefits of single session or ad-hoc therapy, including convenience, flexibility, commitment-free support, time efficiency, targeted problem-solving, and the opportunity to gain an unbiased perspective from a professional therapist.

Please consider the following regarding the ad hoc service;

I cannot provide you with advice or tell you what you need to do in the time we have. Instead I will help you draw your own conclusions, facilitate your self awareness and support you to think systemically about your problem or difficulty. I will listen intently and help you utilise the time in the most effective and efficient way.

Please also note, It would not be ethical or safe to attempt to work through significant trauma, considerable life adversity, or suicidal intent in a single session.
